4/17/2020 1 Comment Positive Creations in IsolationBy: Kenidy Cessna Maybe you heard of Rube Goldberg, maybe you haven’t. However Rube Goldberg was a man who is known for creating complex machines to create a simple outcome. Such as, building a catapult, that throws a marble down a tube and each time it hits a new level a line of dominos fall. Somehow all of these separate steps would build to creating one simple outcome such as pouring a glass of water or cracking an egg. Rube Goldberg’s granddaughter has given an international challenge to do during quarantine. The challenge is open to all ages from all over the world and the goal of the competition is to create the most unique way to drop a bar of soap into your hand. All videos of separate individuals’ machines Should be uploaded to YouTube and sent to the link below! May 31st is the deadline and they will be choosing three winners from around the world to receive a feature on the official Rube Goldberg website and a free “swag bag.” Go great your machine!

This project was originally and towards seniors who are alone in isolation. Young children and teens are also encouraged to submit their own positive and appropriate messages and recordings through the link below. At any time any day people of all ages are encouraged to dial 1-877-JOY-4ALL to hear some great words of wisdom and positivity! https://www.joy4all.ca
