If you didn’t go see the Aladdin Jr. musical you missed out on a great show! The performance was directed by Mrs. Clark. Sophia Hopkins, a Sophmore, was given an Outstanding Performance award for her role as Jafar. Hennepin Theatre Trust awarded Sophia and Technical Team, Student Orchestra, Daniel Dutcher, and Morgan Brackenbury. Sophia Hopkins has been acting on the stage since fifth grade and has been a part off 11 performances.. She has perfected and developed techniques over the years to bring her to this success. Many nights practicing lines, painting set, and remembering choreography were spent working on for the audiences’ entertainment. Sophia is not only successful in her acting career but she is also part of MHS (Minnesota Honor Society), manages football, and was just a hair away from going to state last year in golf. “Don't quit. If this is something you want to pursue then put in the time. If you put in the time and dedication you can achieve great things. The time you spent means nothing if you just throw in the towel after all of your hard work.” says Hopkins. Congratulations all who won awards and thank you everyone for your hard work!
