The Jaguar volleyball team had two games this week. On Tuesday they hosted the Dragons of Pine City. The varsity and Jv lost but an exciting 5th game on the C-team court took home one win. Varsity and Jv both lost in straight sets to a powerful Pine City team. There was lots of improvements to be made before they travelled to Rush City Thursday. C-team won the first set only to lose the next two. They fought back though and won the last two in what Coach K called, “The Big Win”. A shout out to Raven for some awesome blocks. Thursday the team travelled to Rush City. All of the teams played hard but couldn’t take a match from the Tigers. Varsity lost in 3 to a very powerful (and tall) Rush City team. The Jags fought until the end, where the Tigers won the 3rd game 25-22. Although they didn’t come home victorious this team took home something greater. After a drought of not playing as the team we know them as they found themselves again. It’s good to see the team from the beginning of the season back and ready to go into homecoming week. The Jv team stuck with the Dragons for a while but couldn’t keep up towards the end. A good game to watch with all the effort shown by the girls. C-team was loud and positive as always last night despite losing to the Tigers. This group of girls is so fun to watch, their energy is always top notch and they carry it into every game.
