Q: Is your school easier here in America? A: Math is much harder in Thailand. I have to do a lot more studying back home, most of the classes are more difficult in Thailand. I think american studies is difficult because I have never learned about America before. Q: Have or Will you try any new sports or activities? A: I played Volleyball in the fall before that was really fun and I got to meet a lot of fun people. I had played Volleyball before I came to the United States but only in gym class or with friends.Playing in America was very different it is so competitive and we practice so often, it was very fun to play against other schools in sports. Right now i’m in basketball, I’ve never played basketball before but so far I think it’s fun and I have made some really good friends I really like doing sports because they help me build relationships. I took pictures from basketball and volleyball and will show them to my friends back home because I think it’s cool. Q: Why did you want to become an exchange student? A: It’s a good experience for me because I like traveling and I want to travel. I also wanted to experience new studies. I like that it is one year because you get to meet tons of new people and build good relationships and experience American culture and also the teachers are great, I like them. Q: What are some of you favorite things to do in America? A: I love playing with my host families children they are really fun, they have a 19 month old who is very cute. I enjoy spending time with my whole host family. Q: What is your favorite American food? A: I love walking taco. Q: What Is you favorite food from Thailand? A: I like it all, also the names are very complicated I don’t know if you could spell it. Q: What are the biggest differences between Thailand and the United states? A: The language obviously and the different culture, like in America people use forks all the time but we use a spoon and fork at the same time for most meals. Americans also drink a lot of milk, way more than people from Thailand. Q: What is the most exciting thing you have done in America? A: Just hanging and out with friends and meeting new people is my favorite thing. I like hanging out with William the german foreign exchange student he is really funny. Q: Can you give us a brief description of your school in Thailand? A: My school is very big, we have a huge school with way more students than Hinckley. At my school there is probably 4000 students. I think it is very different because here you know most of the people who go to your school but I don’t even know all the people in my grade. I like this school because it is easy to make friends and people are very nice.
