2/9/2018 0 Comments Regional Science Fair RecapBy Killeen Prater and Kenidy Cessna Last week the Hinckley Finlayson High School Science Fair qualifiers went to the Regional Science Fair. Our HFHS participants did an impressive job overall. The 15 student to continue onto the state science fair taking place in April include Sally Nelson, Aryanna Puetz, Jenna Bina, Jacob Perrotti, Hailey Bue, Hannah Davis, Josey Olson, Brooke Golly, Brooke Dutcher, Kristina Johnson, Katelyn France, Madelyn Dutcher, Allyce Mulder, Edward Roubinek, Jacob France, and Haley Risley.
On top of earning state entrance, the following students walked away from the Regional Science Fair with special awards: WLSSD Award and Dick Holt Environmental Science Award - certificate, letter, $50 - Edward Roubinek Beta Lamda Psi Award to the Most Empowering Female - certificate - Katelyn France United States Air Force Award - 4 packets including: messenger bag, card reader/writer, custom single speaker, beta adapter set, and certificate - Madelyn Dutcher Naval Science Award - $50 plus letter of commendation, certificate, medallion - Jacob Perrotti, Edward Roubinek Mu Alpha Theta Award - Certificate Regional Ricoh Sustainable Development Award - Certificate - Sally Nelson Utopian Slingshot Creativity in Technology Award - certificate and one huge box of candy - Sally Nelson Yale Science & Engineering Association Award - certificate and Pewter medallion - Katelyn France First Place Regional Senior High Paper Award - Certificate and Purple ribbon with advancement to Tri-state Science and Humanities Symposium in Minneapolis - Katelyn France AISES advancement - online application for the North American Indian Science and Engineering Fair with a chance to advance to ISEF - Jacob France, Katelyn France, Allyce Mulder, Edward Roubinek ISEF finalist - paid trip to Pittsburgh May 13-19 including travel, lodging, and registration - Katelyn France Congratulations to these students and wish you luck at the State Science Fair!
