The volleyball team took on the Mora mustangs in Mora on Monday. Varsity and Jv both lost but C-team took an exciting win. All the teams worked hard and never gave up. Varsity lost in 3 but very close games made it a fun match to watch. The Jv girls fought hard but were physically out matched. They just couldn’t keep up with the bigger stronger Mora team. C-team lost the first game but came back strong to win the next 3. A special shoutout to Maddie Jackson for her nice hits and serves. The Jaguar volleyball team hosted the Ogilvie Lions the following day. Jv and C-team beat the Lions but the varsity fell in a very close match. Varsity lost the first two sets but came back with energy in the third game. The Jags took the next two games. Into the fifth game we went. It was a back and forth battle but in the end Ogilvie came out on top. Coach Smith’s take on the Jv game, “In what is becoming true JV fashion, the Jaguars dropped a dismal first set to Ogilvie last night at home. They showed a lot of character as they shook off the loss, and with great teamwork, powered through to win the next 2 sets and earn another win on our home court.”. She couldn’t be more right. C-team came out strong and won the first 3 games. They lost the last two games in close sets. Great work by all. The girls are looking to even out the starting starting spirits of each team. As jv and varsity start slow then dig themselves out of a hole and C-team always starts strong and slowly dies off. The next game is on Tuesday the 25th at home. Come support your Jaguar volleyball team!
