12/14/2018 0 Comments Science Fair RecapBy Abby Painovich This past Monday, December 10th, Hinckley Finlayson High School held a science fair competition. Students from grades 9 and 10 competed in all different categories with all different experiments. There was everything from Bernoulli's principles to potato guns. The results of these projects were very well done and enjoyed by the public very much. And the winners of each category comment that is was “a great experience” for them, or “a fun time!” The students worked on their projects for 3 months and they put a lot of work into them. During the science fair, the students would present to three or four judges throughout 2 hours. And later it was open to the public so community members could come and view the various projects. One community member commented, “This year’s projects were done very well! It was very exciting to see so many students presenting on something that they worked on for a long time!” Four science fair winner also went to the elementary school this week to present their projects to a luck fourth grade class. These students were; Madelyn Dutcher, Raechel Painovich, Killeen Prater and Madison Lange. The elementary students were very eager hear about their projects, and had many questions for the high school students.
