By Kenidy Cessna On December 10 the HFHS freshman and sophmores participated in the Science Fair. Many students moved on to Regionals which will take place on February 9 in Duluth. Everyone had a little over three months to take care of their experiments, boards, and papers. All participants had put a lot of work into their projects and had the opportunity to show them off at open house on Monday night.
Raechel Painovich placed first in Biology and Environmental Science, she will be moving onto Regionals. She tested “Does Shoreline Disturbance Impact Fish Habitat?”. Painovich showed the fourth grade class at the elementary her project board and explained her project, the fourth graders are learning their scientific method.Painovich plans on attending Regionals with the same presentation and board that she showed on Monday. She is already thinking of her next project for when she is a sophomore.
